The Lukens House
Pioneer Village is a 1793 to 1812 living history museum operated by volunteers in conjunction with the Army Corps of Engineers and Caesar Creek State Park. Eighteen historic log structures set on the banks above Caesar Creek Lake in southwestern Ohio providing an authentic backdrop for the Ole Tyme Music Festival.
During the Ole Tyme Music Festival, reenactors in period dress occupy our log cabins telling the history of southwestern Ohio from the opening of the Northwest Territory to settlement through the first few years of statehood. Focusing on the period 1793 to 1812, the Village is alive with demonstrations of everyday life on the frontier. While visitors are welcome to stroll around the grounds year round, the historic structures are only open and occupied by reenactors during festivals such as this.

23rd Annual Ole Tyme Music Festival
The Ole Tyme Music Festival is the the longest running event at Pioneer Village with this being the 23rd consecutive year. Held in June each year, the Festival brings together musicians from around the country to play a variety of old time music on acoustic instruments. Hammered dulcimers, mountain dulcimers, autoharps, guitars, fiddles, banjos, harmonicas, spoons, bass fiddles, and many other instruments entertain the crowd. The Village's two stages operate non stop with old time, folk, bluegrass, and Celtic tunes. Gospel and shape note singers fill the Friends Meeting House. Saturday a variety of free music seminars are offered. A great collection of photos from last years festival can be found at the Pickers Porch.

The Fifth Annual Fair on Caesar's Creek will be held May 19-20, 2001. Sponsored by Smoke & Fire Co. and hosted by Mr. Rick Duvelius, this event depicts a 1700s trade fair with all of the various people who would have gathered to buy and sell to the traders oh so long ago. The Coalition of Historical Trekkers will again hold their Eastern Gathering in conjunction with the Fair. To view some photos of the 1999 Fair on Caesar's Creek, check out what Granny Lin has to say. Or to see a birds eye view of the Village, look at the Village map hosted by the COHT. This is a fantastic juried event drawing the best reenactors and suttler from the east and mid west for your entertainment and education. Please contact Rick directly for details.
